Cissa Borges

Cassandra didn't want Apolo anymore. The God went out into the village saying that Cassandra's gifts were delusional. Motivated by revenge, Cassandra's sensibility became some invented madness. Was she the first "crazy" woman? Chauvinism is also cruel in overloading the female body and putting it to the test. Women wakes up, takes care of the house, works, dreams, pays the bills, reconciles her mother's life with other projects and is always in danger of being condemned to convenient madness. Women wake up daily at the risk of the madness invented by chauvinism.

This performance lived a woman's routine showing the miracle of sanity: really, how can they not go crazy despite everything?

This performance shows the routine of mental load, motherhood, financial autonomy, the life of these multiple women.  From the point of view of chauvinism, female body is emotional, temperamental, unstable and hysteria has already been condemned in history as a female disease due to the presence of the ovaries. Is our body a condemnation? Cassandra had no rehearsal, it was a performance at the artist's home accompanied by women, only women.

"I can attest that she maintains her capacities and affective sensitivities to face difficulties and assume responsibilities in caring for herself and her son"

Cissa Borges is a mother and had her son's custody questioned by her ex-partner, claiming that she had no psychological conditions to raise him.

Cassandra was created from reality.
